Ligament or muscle scar tissue build up, repeat injuries

Question:

[Email history]
Would the use of this ultrasound product reduce scar tissue that has formed in torn ligaments? Several ankle sprains has caused a build up of scar tissue that I would like to reduce. [Nancy]

[yes it will, but know that this does take time - probably a couple of months. Darren Cole]

Do you have any empirical evidence to support your claim that ultrasonic treatment with your product actually reduces scar tissue. [Nancy]

The following was reported at following web site: [I don't know if they have any empirical evidence either to support their claim-ns]

Repeated Ankle sprains that cause ligament or muscle scar tissue build up:
"Secondly, to remove the unwanted scar tissue it is vital that you start a course of deep tissue sports massage. While ultrasound and heat will help the injured area, they will not remove the scar tissue. Only massage will be able to do that."

Here are some reference studies regarding ultrasound and scar tissue. Rmember that some have slightly different parameters and none explore the cumulative effect or discuss the advantages of phonophoresis.

In my opinion healing of wounds are quite long procedure and requires patience. It always take some time to recover fully.
