Hello Lindalou,

Generally treatment includes cold therapy and compression to ease the pain and inflammation and exercises to strengthen the muscles and ligaments that support the joint.

The Back Freezie Wrap works by reducing the inflammation in the area. Cold compression is meant to stop the blood flow, relieve inflammation, numb the nevre endings and reduce the pain. You would want to do this if you have an abdunce of pain before applying heat to the affected area.

Using a Back Inferno Wrap on the lower back can help to treat the pain associated with this injury. Would increase the blood flow to the site of the injury which is required to treat any type of soft tissue injury. The Inferno wrap will strenghen and give elasticity to the tendons and ligaments in the surrounding area. It will also relax the surrounding muscles and soft tissue to lessen impingements from occuring. The blood flow will help to repair any micro tears that have occured and help to prevent further micro tearing.

Pleae feel free to visit our website for further information on the Inferno and Freezie Wraps.

However, keep in mind that treatment can vary depending on the underlying cause of the pain. The best thing to do is to consult your physician to determine the underlying cause before beginning a treatment regimen.
